Hello gents. During my impeller change on my 70ESL75E, I had to remove the O-ring at the top of the drive shaft to get the impeller off. It was old and would not come off with out breaking. When I ordered the parts for the impeller there was an O-ring in the kit so I assumed it was the one for the upper drive shaft. After installing the impeller I noticed the O-ring was much larger than the one I needed.
The groove on the upper drive shaft is just below the splines that mate in to the power head. The diameter of the groove, ID of the O-ring is 0.65". The deformed O-ring, now flattened, is 0.1 tall.
Does anyone either know the tech description off this O-ring, i.e. ID and diameter of rubber? Or OEM part number? If not I'll be guessing. To big and it won't go in, to small and it won't seal.
