Quick question for those who have rebuilt your carbs on the 25HP.
I see two different kits listed, one is a Sierra (18-7222) and Mallory (9-37107)
Can someone tell me which is best to use? I have used Mallory ignition parts before and know them to be a good brand, but not sure if they are one in the same. I do not know the Sierra brand. I just want to make sure I have the better of the two if that is possible.

Thanks
Will

I have never used either...but in my opinion...when it comes to the carbs I use OEM kits...everything just seems to fit perfect...I just did a 35 and 25HP and used OEM kits...they run perfect...they may cost a few bucks more..but they were the original parts..or if a Mod was needed to the kits they did it...

Waterpumps..electronics...mallory and sierra are fine..but for the heart of the engine..OEM...

Just my opinion is all....

i went through 2 non-oem kits that were not quite right before i got the BRP kit that if i remember right had a lead tip on the float valve, the others were rubber and were not working right.
