1975 1150 charging question

if you had to, could a small 110 volt ac electric item be hooked to the ac ouput of the stator? just curious. thanks

You could hook it but with 6 or 8 amp max. output you would probably burn the AC unit up and the alternator too.

if you need a small amount of 12o volts,,,,, could use a 12 volt dc converter to 120 volt ac from the battery system,,, it the same as some people use in cars for laptop computers,, etc.

Jeast, Most AC devices work on 60 Hz sine wave, as well as 115VAC. If you want 110VAC, you will need to spin the motor at a constant and particular RPM to create the sine wave (if it is possible at all). The Inverter idea is much better.

If you want to run AC lights, the stator will work just fine.
