I know this little bugger is a Chrysler but finding parts for a Wards is difficult. Can anyone give me the corresponding Chrysler model # so I can find parts easier?

Hi Truckerger
Chrysler had several different model's with different numbers for 1974. Some differ in shaft length only. I am not aware of what parts you are looking for. I am sure all basic consumeable tune-up parts are the same. The part#s for 1974 are 64HB,64HC, 62HE,62BE,63HE,63BE,62HF,62BF,63HF,63BF. The "H" in the model# stands for Hartford, Wisconsion (made in USA) the "B" stands for Barrie,Ontario (made in Canada). Also Chrysler ran some of these model numbers for many years. So a 64HC could be a 1972,73,74 or75 depending on the serial number. This last sentance is just for example, the dates and numbers may not be fact. So are you good and confused yet? I believe most parts from these motors to be the same.

Thanks alcan,
I was looking for a rewind starter. The spring catch in mine is stripped out and I have to uncover and hand wind a rope to start it. One of these days I know I'm gonna drop the cover and watch it sink! thanks for the #'s

Hi there truckerger. Is the plastic spool that the spring clip locks onto stripped or is the spring itself bad? I have extras of both that I don't need and you are welcome to them. Let me know exactly which part you need.

laramide@gmail.com
