Ok so i bought a boat off a buddy for cheap for boarding. Cleaned it up and it looks nice. Rebuilt the carb and it runs ok i guess. So i noticed that the dash lights didn't work so i pulled the guage cluster out and it was like wires balled up like yarn and several wires were disconnected. So i disconnected it from the two wiring harnesses took it in the house and cleaned it up a bit. Put it back in. The dash lights work now and the engine starts up and runs fine. but when i lowered the outdrive it went down fine but when i push up on the switch it wont go back up. Any suggestions? Is the line going to the Hydro pump fused? if so where would the fuse be. and does anyone know if you can get model specific wiring diagrahms for boats?

Off topic, sorry but I have to say this.

Back in '74 I would have given one of my private parts for one of those cathedral hulled beauties...that specific brand and length. We had a large family and lakes around here are large. The wind seems to always blow. That boat was perfect for the situation, but I couldn't afford one.

So enjoy it for me.

Umm well it was working before i took the guage cluster out thats the things i know the hydro stuff is working great just wont go up now. is there a way to just jump it with 12v to test it. if so i can just run a new line because some of the wiring is really old.
