1974 Searay 190V

So went to re-assemble engine after having heads magnufluxed and discovered two small cracks in the block. Argggg. After an extensive search I have found the same engine that has been rebuilt and souped up quite a bit. The original engine was 188 HP the new one is 300 HP. Is this going to cause any problems? I am new to boating so excuse the dumb questions. It's basically a drop and go engine I am picking it up this week in Arizona and bringing it back to California.

Just keep in mind that Alpha drives are only rated to 300 HP......
So be kind with that right hand.......​
