1974 Evinrude 85HP V4 lower unit removal/weight

According to the OMC service manual, the removal of this lower unit seems pretty easy procedure wise. I'm curious as to the weight of this lower unit. Could I do this by myself? I'm guessing around 50 lbs. I'm supposed to be very careful not to bend the shift rod. If it's too heavy I might do just that. I'm thinking if it's around 30 lbs. then I should be ok. Let me know thanks.

its easy! i wouldnt have my wife do it,but a fairly healthy man can.

thanks myles,<br /><br />one other thing, the motor should be tilted up after removing the fluids? seems easier on my back when the gear case is higher off the ground.<br /><br />Thanks again.
