Can someone tell me, Is this boat considered an AQ200B on the Volvo Penta website? I have trouble figuring out which exhaust manifold will fit. Several people I have spoken to, ask which model of engine I have. As soon as I share that it has the 351 winsor heads, confusion ensues. Then they ask how many horse power, I answer 200hp, more confusion.
Grrrr. I have been on many other websites, seems like no one with this rare boat, has posted info on replacing these exhaust manifolds. I have no service manuals and presume that the 302 cu.in. Ford engine actually has the 351 W heads based on posts from other people.

I think for it to be an AQ anything…it would need to be driving an outdrive. I could be totally wrong here. But are CV18’s not usually jet drive ? With a Windsor driving a Hamilton jet or similar make of jet that I can’t quite think of now

I’m almost positive that’s not what you might be thinking it is at all. Or it’s not an aq200 anyway. I’m nearly sure the aq200 was a 5.0 GM engine. Usually mated to an old 270 or 280 outdrive.
Not an expert, but I’d say you’re right that it’s a ford Windsor engine. Most commonly found in things like mastercraft classic ski boats from the 70’s and early 80’s.

It's not a jet boat, it has the VP280 outdrive. I think it was the CVX-18ss that had the jet drive. Mine is the CV-18ss, fitted with Volvo/Penta 280 outdrive.

Here is a pic of the stock exhaust. I have an impeller on order and is why the pulley is disassembled.

Got you. Sounds a lovely boat. I’ve a cvx16.
Anyway. I think the VP with ford Windsor in the older days are a little confusing in their naming. I have a feeling that the older 351 vp Windsor might have been called the AQ240 or something similar. Hope that helps
