Searched the forum, but couldn't find the answer.

"New" old Johnson motor. Tilt Lock lever will move the claws away from the Thrust Rod, but the motor will not move. Is there something else locking it up inside that I can't see or is it frozen up somewhere?

Thanks,
Brer B.

Is it power tilt/trim?

Make sure its in neutral............

It could be frozen up if it has set for a long time.........if none of the above spay it with lube for a few days...........

It's totally manual, not a power tilt. Motor probably hasn't been lifted in at least four years.

On my 65, I have to start lifting while moving the tilt lever to the "run" position. I know I have something just slightly bent, but haven't gotten to it, yet.

Problem Solved !!

Several doses of PB Blaster + Time + A bit of strong arming got it working again.
