Hi Everyone I have a 74 merc 40hp 402 thunderbolt serial # 7038943 and I'm looking for photos on locating my thermostat my book shows nothing in relation to the thermostat and I need a location so as to change stat. if there are any photos out there to show me the location it would be much app. I think it might be when looking down on top of the head it is above where the #2 coil is. But when I remove the cover there is a star head screw would that be the stat ?
