Transom is done,

This is going to be a center console,so the dash and ALL had to go.almost all the rivets in floor supports were broken.
I think if I use aluminum cleaner it will remove the protective coating that forms on alum over time.I spent 2 hrs pulling screws with drill
before I got SMART and broke out the stilh it took 4 minutes to knock it out.

This one is interesting. So far she's gone from a closed bow Holiday to a open bow rider and now to a center console.

We have to keep an eye on you. LOL

Yeppers, it was converted to a open bow by the PO and all the wood{2 layers of floor and all kinds of storage units in
the bow area were all 3/4" plywood and waterlogged! I bet it was 4-500 lbs. of rotten wood.nice to start FRESH.

My biggest concern is how to seal these old holes 100% before I put my new motor on.its a completely different bolt pattern.

Can you get some pics of the inside of the stern? Could help come up with a plan for the holes.

If you want, I can move this to the Starcraft section where more Starcraft guys see the thread. We have hundred of rebuilds and many have gone through the same issues with holes needing patched.

I feel special in the STARMADA ,I got this 3/16" alum diamond plate from a friend,I spose this will work on outside of transom
to cover all the holes.a full coat of 5200 and clamp her up.

Welcome to the Starmada Kitch, should be an interesting build:couch2:opcorn: I myself wouldn't use the diamond plate for the transom pad the diamonds will leave a gapmaking it vey hard to seal the mounting holes for the O/B.

Welcome Kitch...looking forward to seeing this one, centre console was my first plan but decided to keep mine open bow.
I had the same idea with the 3/16 diamond plate I have. Glad dozer chimed in, I may have to re-think that approach.
