1973 Starcraft Chiefton

I recently purchased a 26-0 Chiefton. I am searching for OEM specs and an owners manual.Can any of you help in this matter?

Iv looked all thru my books and dont show Starcraft to ever make a 26' Chiefton. They made a 18, 21, 22, 24 and in 1975 they went to there largest Chiefton the 25 footer.<br /><br />You wont find a manual for the boat..sorry<br />Most boat makers never had them. You can however get manuals for the powerplant and drive.

Ditto, Trent. The Cheiftain was a nice boat. Starcraft still makes cruisers in this size range. Now they're called Islanders.

actually they made the Islander and the Cheifton at the same time (for a few years). Iv never seen a Cheifton but have seen several Islanders. I like the Islander and have almost bought one lately. Starcraft (the ones iv been in) are well built boats.

Just went to Starcraft's website. www.starcraftmarine.com. <br /><br />The still make the Islander up to 20 ft.

starcraft makes a fine boat, often overlooked. i've owned my 87 runabout,19ft for 10 yrs. the hull & hardware are still in great shape.
