Just bought a 1973 Stamas Orion 21' and it has two thru hulls on the bow below the water line (one is larger than the other). Inside the forward storage compartment of the boat is where they come through and there isnt any hoses hooked up to them, just a wire hose clamped on connecting the two (bronze) thru hulls together. anyone know what these my be or have been for?

Possibly it had a wash down pump hooked to them.

They are ventilation holes, you have two chrome intake hoods on the bow taking in fresh air through all the holes and two more chrome exhaust hoods on the stern. Keeps fumes out of the floor.

So are they ventilating with water now ? They are BELOW the water line according to the OP.
