Does anyone know where I can find a download of Mercruiser Stern drive I/O 1963-1973 Service manual? I actually only need section 2 (throttle and shift cable adjustment). I already own the rest of the manual but somehow ended up not having section 2. The embarrassing thing is that I've had this book for several years and just now noticed that glaring absence of info. Huge dead spot in throttle going forward, often times engine dies out until reaching past 1/3 throttle (already idled carb up to no avail) and hardly any throttle response until almost the end of throttle forward motion, then get all the throttle control in the just the little movement at the end of throttle response to do everything. Very frustrating. 1973 18ft V bottom Starcraft Supersport I/O Mercruiser 2.5L 120hp. Original problem probably developed from control cables almost completely locked up due to setting for years. Did the oil down the cable housing trick and waited a few days and the cables loosened up very nicely and also had to replace a few parts in the remote control (throttle/shift) housing (which tightened it up pretty well), but now having the issue described above.
