1973 merc 850 ,who knows about this motor?

i have a 850 merc 1973 i dont know how to move the locking hooks that attach to the tilt pin ,does anyone know of a lever all anything to unlock them or move them?i have to keep pulling out the tilt pin to move the motor up or down how to i un hook the hooks that clamp to the pin i see a spring on them so i know they move ....also where are the inpellers located so i can change them /? also can someone tell me where the fuel filter is located ?

To unlock the motor to tilt is to move the throtle arm on the control forward all the way.

Fuel filter- should be a inline.

Impeller- they are better people on here to explain than me or get yourself a manual which is a good idea in the long run.

The only filters I know of on that motor (if it truely is a '73), are under some covers on top of the two carbs. They are banjo-style filters. The motor has a dual fuelpump setup.

well ill check it out with the shifter thanks alot ill let ya know if it works also the impellers? i still dont know yet but the filters i also look into thanks ....
