1973 johnson 25 cylinder head

long story short i have a 1973 johnson 25 with no sparkplug threads it also has some corrosion now i can get this repaired but it will take a long time
i have found a cylinder head that was removed from a 1978 20hp the head face looks the same and it has the coil mounts in the correct place but the "dish" of the head looks different is this going to cause me any major problems as long as the pistons don't make contact

don't see a parts listing for a 1978 Johnson 20 hp.

Hmmm that's worrying I think I'll take a chance on it then as it might be a 25hp
