1973 Fiberform 16'? Need more info. Help?

I bought the boat at auction and the title is very little help. What I do know, is it is a 1973 Fiberform 16' w/ the original 85hp Johnson. The title list it as a roundabout. I do know the history of fiberform, also. What I need to know is what kind of Fiberform it is so I can buy a manual for it? Yes, this is my 1st boat and I got a $1000 to stick into it. I think it may be a Columbia.

Welcome aboard!

Manual may not help you that much with it. They were pretty generic and not even as complete as an owner's manual for a car. You'll get much more help by posting specific questions about the hull/rigging here on the forums. You'll get a bunch of ideas from the gang, and better answers than the manufacturers manual would provide.

The outboard - totally different story: find a good shop/repair manual for it. It's worth it's weight in gold and gives you a starting spot. There is a forum for Evinrude/Johnson outboards here on iBoats and you can get answers there too.

I will kick this back to the top. I have found more of these boats but they are a different year. I would really like to know, so I can search for pictures.

You will not find a manual for the boat. This is the manual for your motor. It is the BEST manual available and a steal at this price http://www.ebay.com/itm/1973-Johnso...040?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item53ecb340a8 (I ran that exact motor and had one of those factory manuals).

Not only do boat manuals say little of use, but for an older boat, most sytems will have been changed over the years (wiring, etc.). Or should be.
it's like if you bought an old tool shed, you wouldn't need the blueprints. WYSIWYG.

Thanks guys. I am figuring this out. I am just trying to see what the dashboard looked like original. I am not trying to restore the boat to the original, just want an idea of what they looked like. I live in Wa. were the boat was built for 35 years and have found a lot of Fiberform boats that look like mine but are of a different year. I found an original speedometer from a 1967 16' fiberform. Found the canopy polls. There is another boat just like mine for sail for $900, no trailer but the engine works and is in better condition than mine but again is a little older. I appreciate all ur advice. This will be a slow process.
