I am having trouble with this engine. It was originally only running on two cylinders and hard to start. I found used parts from an engine that was running before it blew. I replaced the coils, the pack, new plugs, cleaned the carbs after finding one stuck float needle and now the engine starts and runs great.......for a while. You can run it around the lake wot for about an hour before it quits. Wait and hour and it starts right up and goes for another hour. It has the old metal portable tank and the bulb is pointing the right direction. Water comes out the pee hole and the exhaust. The fuel strainer is clean and I can pump fuel to the carbs and get a hard bulb.

Where can I look next? I'm stumped guys.

Capt. Bob, I took the tour of your C/C Roamer and that's some boat. You've obviously done a lot of work on it and it's looking great. Wish it was mine and I could afford it.
Concerning your o/b, does the bulb stay hard when it dies? What about the plugs? What do they look like right after it dies? Are they wet or dry? If the engine has CDI, it might be the powerpack going south.
Best bet is get a manual for it and follow the troubleshooting guide. Lettus know what you find and we'll try to be a little more help.

g'luck & c/6

Hooty
