Hey guys, I have a 1973 Evinrude 50hp model number 50373R. Their is a crack where the LU meets the midsection. the metal is also bent inwards in the area. Just the midsection is cracked and bent and not the lower unit. It looks as if someone took a metal chisel and wedged it between the midsection and the lower unit bending/cracking the midsection in the process. Any suggestions for a repair? I'm not sure if this is a DIY Jb weld repair or something for a shop. Thank you!
