I have a 1973 65hp that has 2 shock absorbers connected to the swivel bracket that is bolted to the transom. Are these shocks supposed to be under pressure and assist and support the motor when it is manually tilted? If so, mine don't seem to be working right. If they are suppossed to supply some lift support, can they be repaired and if not any suggestions as to where I can get replacements? The BRP website list the part numbers as 0385532 and the description as shock absorber.
