1973 65hp evinrude

hi,<br /> i recently got this 65hp and noticed that all the exhaust comes out of the prop when idling. i had a 70hp before and while idling the exaust came out of the two smaller hole just below the engine cover. is this something to be concerned about? what are possible reasons? thanks in advance,likearock

Hi likearock, I owned the same engine a few years back, wished I still had it really ! mine operated the same as yours. At higher engine speeds you will notice mostly water coming out the holes you mention (exhaust relief outlets I think there called) You are seeing normal operation.
