+1 45 ft/lbs will work. These links may help too. Be sure to follow the toque pattern in the pic below and to re-torque the bolts after you've done a couple of WOT runs after the head has had a chance to heat/cool a few times. Also, no need for any sealant on the gasket itself. It should already be impregnated on the part and will be r,eleased once the motor gets up to temp. I replaced the head gasket on my '66 20hp last summer and aside from getting the old head bolts out, it was pretty easy. Best of all, the old motor is now tight as a drum fires right up in 1-2 pull every time, 1/2 a pull if she's warmed up already. Gotta love these old FD/E models.
