Greetings Everyone,

I am new here, so please forgive me for any errors. I have a 1972 Tom Boy S1 and I do not know how much to sell it for. I have looked all over the internet, but I cannot find this particular boat's manufacturer to ascertain a value. Any help would be appreciated. I have pics and can give more details if needed. Thanks in Advance!

Post pictures... What size? what motor? Whats the condition? The only info I could find on tomboy boats showed smaller fishing/bass style boats... In that case, the value is going to be little to nothing for the hull, and depend largely on whats attached to it.

1972 Tri-Hull? $2000 with a running motor and no rot.

I agree with spoilsofwar. It's only worth what you can get for what it has. If that makes sense....

Re: 1972 Tom Boy Tri-Hull Value

Thanks Everyone! I appreciate the feedback :)

Pics are attached. I do not plan to put a motor on it, I plan to sale it as is. I was thinking 800$ or whatever I could get...
I bought the boat for the motor on it... a 1984 Johnson 25HP Seahorse. I am putting the motor on another boat and I simply do not need the Tom-Boy hull or trailer. The trailer and hull are in great shape and have been indoors since the 90's. I think someone could get some use out of it, just not me :)

Thanks Again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was thinking 800$ because I found some information on Bucvalu that assessed it around that value with no motor. I have attached a screenshot of that as well.

Thanks Again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With no engine, if you can get $800 for that hull, you are either a very good salesman or have found a very foolish customer.

Post it for $800 O.B.O (or best offer) and see how much they offer you. Most folks know the selling price isn't usually the buying price.

Thanks jigngrub ! That is a good idea. I think I will try that. Another advantage I think I have is the fact that the Tom-Boy boats were manufactured in Huntsville, AL.; and this is where I am selling it as well. People here know these boats and I see them on the water all the time. The trailer is a bass-tracker trailer, I figure that is worth a few hundred and should help the sale.

Thanks Again!

That's a nice little set-up. I buy and sell small boats and motors and I always price them higher than I want because I know what I can get. If I was selling that boat and trailer I think I could get between $500-$600.

Thanks Wingedwheel! I appreciate the feedback. Maybe you would be a good person to ask this question:
From what the other people were saying here, I was thinking of putting that 1985 25HP Johnson seahorse back on it, a minn kota 40lb thrust trolling motor (Bow Mount) a Fish finder, and some running lights to make it water ready. Do you guys think I could get a little more for it then? I am going to do it tomorrow and then post pictures when I am complete. I know those motors are sweet, or I see many of them on the water down here in Bama. I have done my prep work today, tomorrow is assembly day :)

With those items back on it if everything works then I'd say $1500-1600. Just my opinion, but that size boat and motor moves faster than most others.
