What adjustments do I need to make in order to make it run correctly? The motor runs great at WOT then when I bring the throttle back down to quickly the motor will shut off and not want to start up. If I spray a little shot of engine start into the butterfly hole it will crank with a little encouragement and then I have to get on the throttle and get it up fairly quick to keep it running. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Ed

Thanks for the direction Tashas. Just to make sure, you are talking about that needle valve just above the choke hole on the front of the engine. Mine has rich/lean printed on the plastic cover. I will have to loosen the packing nut a little to adjust this valve. Does all this sound correct?

1 1/2 turns out from bottom is a good place to start and this is a good place to center your adjustment, that way you have a 1/2 turn each way to the stop.
