1972 Evinrude 3 cyl. 65hp problems

I bought this motor and put it on my boat...starts and run's great on land, but under a load it just putt's along. I changed the plug's thinking I might have fouled one out. Still no good. Could my carbs be a suspect? Dirty? The motor has been sitting for about 10 months.

You're probably running on less than all 3 cylinders. The motor will sound surprisingly good that way, when there's no load on it.

Problem fixed.....two of my three carbs had stuck needles. Runs awesome now.
