I have just rebuilt the carb and replaced the check valves in the fuel pump along with all gaskets. Im not getting a continuous pull on the gas/oil mix. It runs for a second when i put gas/oil directly into the carb but wont stay running. Also, when i take off the hose from pump to carb and crank, there is no gas spitting or pumping. Only when i squeeze the bulb.

I'm at a loss. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

I am not being smart here, but did you put the gaskets and diaphram back in the right order? Good Luck

no apology needed. yea there in there right. triple checked that.

I am having the exact opposite problem. My 7.5 will only start in the wide open position and it screams. It will idle down but very rough!!

I was at a Merc repair shop today and he stated that if you spray into it runs but stops right away it is most likely carb issues.
