I found a really nice deal on CL for a 1971 Yar-Craft 15ft. I can't seem to find any information on it anywhere. Does anyone what size motor to fit it with? Any information would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks,

Yar-Craft used to be made in MI, and now in WI. There is some info on this site, cant remember where. They do have a web site. Is there a cap. plate? Theres still alot of them around(the tri hauls) in the WI area.

My boat is a 1976 yar-craft Yankee 15'. Its the Trihull in my avatar. It is rated for 70 HP Max HP, 680 Lb Capacity. If you want me to send you a picture of the capacity plate, let me know

If you could send me that picture, that would be great. I'm hoping to go look at the boat soon. Where abouts is the location of that plate?

The capacity plate is located on the port side of the walk-through to the bow seats. Picture here

PM me your e-mail, and I'll send you the close up. Unfortunately the upload resolution here is not so good, so you won't be able to see a thing.
