hello I'm a new member and i have a question about the charging system on my boat. info on the boat is
V6 buick with a prestolite altinator with an external voltage regulator. the altinator has a field, and an output the voltage regulator has ground, field and the other goes to ignition. question is what are the specs on the output of the altinator and how do I test it to make sure it's working properly because it seems not to be charging. the voltage regulator was just replaced and im not sure if it is all hooked up correctly. any information would be helpful. thanks
