1971 mercury 800 80HP outboard

I was wondering if anyone out there knows how much this outboard motor weighs. I have had it for some time now. It is a 1971 Mercury 800 outboard.(4 cylinder 2 stroke). I have looked through the internet for the specs, I bought 2 repair manuals(which was helpful w/other things) but gives no insight on the weight of this engine. I know the 115 of the same year weighs around 305 lbs. but it is a straight six cylinder. and I figure this will weigh less.

Hedghawg,Don't have the specific weight of a 1971 80 hp merc,but a 1974 85 hp merc 4 cyl. weighs 235-240lbs depending on the model.I would think that your motor would be somewhere in that window. OB is correct. 240# for the EL mod.
