Hi all<br />I think my shifting problems are over . removed LU and pulled solenoids and harness rebuilt harness completely soaked LU in mineral spirits overnight and drained.Used ATF fluid in it for test run to finish clean out and shifting went great very responsive going to neutral and reverse where before you had to work with it and it was slow and on water just stayed in foward. will be putting marine type C back in LU but does anybody have any recommendations?on any further actions.

I do not know what the marine type c is. If it is not the Johnson/Evinrude premium blend then do not use it. I learned this the hard way. Use only the Johnson/Evinrude premium blend L/U fluid. It is only 7 to 9 dollars at most marine shops.

It's been 5 years. They probably found some by now.
