Thanks for all the help. I bought a hydro electric shift earlier this year with a shifting problem. I've read all the postes I could find and followed the trouble shooting that others have done. My controls checked out and I had resistance at the powerhead disconectes. so I filled with Dextron fluid and ran it It didn't have any fluid in when I got it. but the plugs were loose the Guy I got it from was going to take it apart so drainde it. after about 6 revaloutions it freed up and went to neutral. I put the plugs back in andf ran on muffs for 15 minutes shiftint fwd neutral and reverse and drained the oil back out. oil was nice clean and free of any metal. so next I'll fill with Type C and leave till spring.
