1970s Merc 1150 - gearcase won't come off

I have a 1970s (not sure exactly of the year) Merc 1150, and I am trying to take off the gearcase to replace the water pump. I already had it off once a few months ago, and it came off fine. Now I have it unbolted and it will only seperate about 1/4". Does anybody have any idea what it might be getting hung up on?

Did you remove the bolt under the zinc trim tab? Remember there are three nuts in the front on top of the LU, two nuts above the prop, and one bolt under the trim tab.<br /><br />If you got them all, maybe the driveshaft has rusted into the crankchaft.
