I have a 1970's Evinrude 60 HP motor. Before buying it it had sat for 2 years. I found a guy that worked on it last summer and did alot of tune up type stuff, carb rebuilt, etc, and put a new prop on it. I was having issues with it running right on the water but it always ran strong with a water muff. Last time I took it out it ran the best it has since i had it other than having some trouble opening up all the way. Well, sitting in my driveway not long after my last trip in Oct, i started and ran the engine for a while when i engaged the prop ( forward or reverse) the prop didnt turn. Any ideas before i take it back to my buddy

Make shure your linkage, cables, ext,, are hooked up and not disconnected. Look it over real close and you just might see what happend.

Thanks, once it warms up a tad more, I will pull the controls off and see if something came off there
