1970 Century Coronado Advice

Hi all, I’m looking at buying a 1970 Century Coronado. It has been garage kept most of its life when not in the water. It does have 1600 hours on it. It needs a top end rebuild I’m told as a cylinders exhaust valve isn’t sealing. The interior is in good shape minus a couple small tears. The glass appears to be nice besides a few small dings. The prop has been scraped slightly it looks like. I’ll try and upload some pictures. I believe the stringers are original but the owner says they are solid and I had him wrench on the mounting bolts and said they didn’t turn easily. The boat is almost 6 hours away and so I haven’t seen it in person yet. I’d love some input on this. He is asking $5,000 boat and trailer. Some of the images are from a couple years ago he said and then some he took today and got caught in the rain for the last couple where the motor is wet but otherwise he keeps it in a shed or barn

Another question I have is that the stringers look like they aren’t encased in fiberglass which seems really odd. I was wondering why that might be
