Hello, I have just picked up a 1970, 85 hp. Evinrude without a propeller. I have a propeller hanging around(off what, I have no idea?) it's a 13 1/4 X 17 , (382764) ,(RT15439) I would like to use it on this 85 hp motor to run a 1963 Lone Star, El Dorado cruiser (approx. wt. 870lbs). Will this be a problem to motor or the operation of boat? What can I expect in the performance? I will also have a 9.9 kicker for trolling. Thank-you all for any advice or ideas! Take Care. Jim.

That prop should do fine. The only way to know for sure what prop any boat should have requires a working tachometer. That motor should turn around 5500 rpm with an average load at WOT. A lower pitch means more rpm.
