I have a 1970 135 horse outboard merc. Recent problem. When I give it the juice it doesn't want to go. Just quits. Idles great. Can't even slowely increase the throttle. Just wants to die at a certain throttle point. If I enrich the mixture dramatically. I can get it to not stall. But at this point I have no power coming out of the hole. Takes forever to plane. Just rebuilt carbs, and timed it up. New fuel pump. Could this be a fuel pressure issue? It has ran great in the past, like I said this is a recent issue. Thanks for you help, D.

Do a compression check. Search for my "timing and synch" post" - and report back.

-W
