<br /><br />Why do you need a starter? Four of five starters replaced on older engines weren't broke in the first place.<br /><br />If yours has stopped working, go to the Engine FAQs section and do the troubleshooting in the "Outboard wont start" post. That should tell you what is wrong. Most of the time it isn't the starter.<br /><br />Excuse me if I make some assumptions, just trying to save you some bux.

<br /><br />If you are certain that the starter is bad, check with an automotive starter overhaul shop.. . lots cheaper than a replacement. . . like about $75 vs. a few hundred.<br /><br />If none of the above work for you, here are some parts sources you may not have tried:<br />
