It runs good, idles ok, but will only run with throttle with the motor choked, and will not get on plane. It wants to, but it hesitates. With WOT, I opened the choke and it dies out. I tried playing with the idle adjustment with no joy. Motor has to be choked for it to run with the throttle. Im thinking either a new fuel pump, and/or a carb rebuild. It sat for 6 months without being ran. Any tips?

I was guessing the same thing. The idle adjuster works well with it in neutral, but in gear the only way it stays running is choked.

Try squeezing your primer bulb when problem is happening, if engine picks up you might have a fuel pump problem. Remove the 7/16 plug on front of carb bowel and remove high speed jet and clean. If that helps your problem, remove carb and rebuild.
