I am in need of tuning my carbs on my 115hp evinrude
There are 4 adjustment needle screws on the front of the carbs that adjust the air/fuel mixture ratio.
Can anyone give me any advise on tuning it to run at its best? It seems to idle low so I'm not sure if I need to screw them in more or out farther.. I don't want to run it to lean however. Please let me know.

Those needles are for idle only. Check the top secret files at the beginning of this forum. Joe Reeves has a good write up.

That is interesting, by adjusting those needles was the difference between my motor running and not. Before I could only get it to idle kind of through the water and would not have any acceleration power once I gave it throttle... but as soon as I adjusted those needles and got it to start up better, I had my power when putting throttle into it.

That's why the needles are there on that model.
