yes it hydroelectric, and Ive done all the solunoid checks and type c lower end oil (premium blend) ... and I also bought a manual ....
Ok Im slowly dismanteling the lower end piece by piece...
My unique problem it that it is in default forward with the boat not running,
and for the split second that you turn the key till the pump actuates....
then it just goes into neutral... and stays there .... 0 volts or power to one solunoid ..or power to both solunoids ... doesnt matter ... Im in neutral.
*** that is with proper gear lube in case .... with low lube im in default forward ....
any thoughts? would this happen if the plunger is damaged???
