1969 65hp trim tab removal

Hi just got this motor and can figure out how to get trim tab off is it an allen wrench and what size also this is a long shaft and the plastic plug on top was missing it was filled with mud have been blowing it out with air all day any help would be greatly appreciated seloc manual doesn't say what kind of bolt holds it or what size

5/16th allen about 4 inches long

hello<br /> and if the head is stripped use a sharp chiesel and cut off the anode. to replace the bolt usually require lower unit removal.
