1969 55hp johnson

Does anybody here have any suggestions where I can buy new points for this motor. I live in Ontario Canada. Or any suggestions on other points that would work?

UAP/NAPA up here doesn't carry those parts. And Sierra doesn't make a replacement set so Iboats doesn't carry them either. You can only get OEM ones, so be prepared for outrageous prices for these dear things:<br /><br />PN 383655<br /> Mastertech <br /> Laing's

I talked to one marina, they told me they can't get them. Anybody else with any other suggestions?

Where is Beamsville? I'm in Ottawa and our local dealer carries them (Laurentian Marine on Mac Street).

Thanks for the tip. Beamsville is in the Niagara region. I've searched quite a bit for a place that sells these specific breaker points. Other than eBay, I have come up blank until now. I may call your local marine to see it they would be willing to ship me a set.

Hello there, Im in Hamilton so not far from you at all. I dont know of any local marinas that will carry parts for that year, but try Bay City Marine on Hester street in hamilton mountain. They are a great bunch there, very knowledgeable with the johnnys. Look under "Outboards" in the yellow pages. IF not, try "laingsoutboards.com" like previously stated, they should be able to get what you are looking for

the only spot i could find parts for mine was www.sea-way.com
