I recently bought a 1969 115 hp johnson that hadn't been run in at least 5 years. I put a new battery, plugs, cleaned the fuel filter, and rebuilt the carbs. It starts & idles fine and will accelerate ok during the first few minutes of running. After warm up, it boggs down at anything above an idle. It needs new plug wires (got a shock when I touched them) and I noticed a visible crack in the coil. Is it possible the coil & wires could be causing the problem?<br />At a loss...
