I have ordered a new float for the carb on a 1968 3hp johnson, does anyone know what level or the measurement it should be set at? Thanks

The float should be level with the surface of the carb.

what about fuel ratio on 1968 3hp jh 23a 50-1 or 24-1. For some reason i dont want to buy a 30 dollar manual. THANKS

I run mine on 30/1 or 33/1 mix.
the bearings on these motors are bronze,so they like this
better than 50/1
