Hello,

I just bought a 1968 Fastwin 18HP. I pull out the choke, prime the fuel pump, set the motor to Neutral. And starting instruction on the handle says to twist the grip to "Start" postion but I do not see any word on the grip. Can anyone tell me what is the start position?

Thanks a lot in advance!

The best throttle position can be a little different on each motor and the twist grip lettering is frequently non existent and/or the twist grip no longer aligns correctly with the settings. So just twist it slightly and see where you get the best results, then mark that spot if you think you need to.

When in neutral, just twist it to the left until it hits the stop. That is the "start" position.
