At the front of my motor, but not attached to the motor there is a silver cylindrical part. It is about 3 1/2 inches across and about 1/2 inch deep. It is situated between the starter solenoid and the voltage regulator and is held in place above a hole in the housing by 3 bolts. It is attached to nothing and doesn't seem to have any purpose. Does anyone know what it is because I can not find it in my manual. Thanks.
