My motor had been idle for 9 years when I bought it. Have noted from this sight that I should squirt 1ts of TC-W3 into each cylinder then turn by hand 5 or 6 revolutions. Is 1ts a table spoon or a teaspoon? Big difference. Thanks.

Just a teaspoon will do fine. But more won't hurt. Don't neglect the crankshaft and rod bearings - let the engine idle a while when you first start it. Starting with a heavy mix (say, 32:1) wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Don't forget to replace the impeller!

Thanks Paul. I squirted the oil in and it turns like butter. It will be a while before I try to start it (long story - next posting) I will also rebuild the carb, change the gearcase oil, replace the plugs and check the coils. I will certainly use your advice when the time comes.
