The motor started off running just fine. After about an hour or so on the lake it starter to sputter and choke up a little. A little while later it just reved up really high and than shut off. Nothing I could do would get the motor to start up again. The motor has had fresh plugs and pins and points. The carb a month or so ago was cleaned and got new seals. The fuel pump is new and put on 2 weeks ago. I have compressions of 112 in both cyclinders.

I don't know what else is left to look at. Any ideas?

Thx

They do that when they run out of fuel..... Vent stuck closed? Fuel pump working? Float stuck closed? Debris?

You have some trouble shooting to do.

That was my first thought too. Have the same motor. I always shut down when I leave the ramp by disconnecting the fuel hose while it's running. Sounds the same. I say you lost fuel supply for some reason. Start looking there. Jbo

Well it's not a Carb issue or or fuel issue inside the motor. Maybe it's the hose from the tank to the engine, or the primer bulb. Thanks for the help guys!
