1967Light Twin 3 hp

Hi I just got a 1967 Evinrude 3 horse and need to know what size fuel line goes on it. 1/4 inch is to big so my next guess would be 3/16 , would that be correct ? Also did these motors have a fuel filter on them ? would it be a good idea to put one on or won't it make a difference ?

Should be a filter inside the tank.

And you should be able to install a wee fuel pump and run with a 5 gallon tank.----Spot to mount the pump is there already.

Measure the internal dia of the fuel line 'connector' and that will give you the fuel line bore. Add 2 or 3 mm (either side) for the wall thickness. You will then have the bore and o/d sizes. If no filter in the tank, then add an 'in line' one.........either way, an extra one won't do any harm.
