I got a 65 merc. on it. It's been change over<br />to a bass boat. It looks as somebody went<br />all through the boat I mean everything.<br />It 16'7" long.<br />It's great rnning.<br />I never really give it a thought about be over powered.<br />WHAT DO YOU MEMBERS THINK?<br />THANK YOU<br />REX A. Just from looking at your boat size (and guessing at the weight of it), it SHOULD be OK. But how does it feel on the water?<br /><br />Does it stand straight up when you open it up? (Bad news if it does)<br /><br />Does it sit fairly level in the water when not under power? (Good news if it does)<br /><br />Does it handle OK in curves under power and proper trim? (Good news if it does)<br /><br />I currently have a 17' Lowe Roughneck MT1760(only weighs about 500# with no motor & empty) and it is CG rated for 65 HP. <br /><br />Just to give you some numbers to play with.
